There are times in your life when you encounter special people. People who influence, people who create change, people who exemplify the difference between mediocrity and professionalism. Some would say, what is the big fuss? It was only a wedding. While that may be true, with you it was THE wedding. The spiritual experience that we underwent on that magical night, September 12th at the Antipatrus Fortress, was the result of a tapestry of many people, Ayelet the designer, Asif Afsai the DJ, the Panda band, the talented drummer, Rabbi Azrad, Ziv, Dorit Amaryllis, Pri Ha'aretz and many other excellent people involved in the process. You brought down the lights from the heavens for us, and the walls of the fortress shook with the force of their presence. our special wedding in nature in Israel I don't think Danny knew what he was getting himself into with us. A New York couple arriving in Israel three weeks before their wedding and choosing to wed a difficult two-and-a-half hour's drive from the center of the country, on top of a mountain in the Biriya Forest, without electricity, without water, and three kilometers from the nearest road on a dirt track, and all this, without in any way compromising standards and the quality of the production…. in short, the ultimate nightmare of any wedding producer.

Everybody, and I mean, everybody, looked at us as though we were crazy. Danny, too, warned us that it would not be simple. But once it became clear that so it was to be, Danny became a bulldozer. He transformed the dream into reality. With every problem that arose with the location, the suppliers and the authorities (and there were quite a few), he reassured us and found a solution. He was always available, whatever the time was, and more than that; if Danny did not hear from us for a day or two, he would call us to check that everything was OK. The day before the wedding, he drove north to set up camp. On the day of the wedding, he supervised the setting‑up and personally saw to every detail. Over the course of the evening, he continued to see to it that everything went smoothly. When the beer ran out in the middle of the evening, he personally took of in a car to Zfat to find an open store and bring back several more crates.

At the event, you were very much in control, directing everything with precision while being affable and courteous at the same time. You demanded excellence from everyone and paid attention to all the details no matter how small. Nothing escaped your careful observation. The result was a wonderful and high-quality event, whose amazingly meticulous orchestration made it possible for me to be available to my guests and the celebration. I didn’t have to worry about anything else except the Bat Mitzvah itself.

All through the preparations, from the time we met and up to the event itself, you were available at any hour of the day, from early in the morning to late at night. You always treated us with patience and took what we said seriously, any question or caprice. Even on days when you were busy with other events, you were always available and gave us your full attention, infusing us with the feeling of calm that we so desperately needed. When we heard about you from colleagues and friends for whom you've organized events, we decided to go all the way with an event of 400 people, from all over the world, in all age groups and with all possible madness. With effectiveness, grace and the right amount of oral and written communication and the right amount of our involvement and our family’s, you orchestrated a wonderful production. The wedding, which lasted 28 hours, that included Bedouin dinner, nature/desert party, late-night dinner, Camel ride and sleeping accommodations for 200 guests, was produced to perfection! We worked with Danny over the course of a year to
plan our wedding at the Tower of David, while we
were living in London and New York. From an event
planning perspective, our event was quite complicated.
Since no services were provided by the venue,
we had to negotiate individually with
numerous suppliers to coordinate catering, music,
design, lighting, photography, bar, tours, artistic
performances, transportation, etc.

We could not have done it without Danny! He is the

We would like to thank you for the production of our Israeli wedding.
As we are living in the U.S. and busy all day long, we were very worried we would not manage to produce our wedding in Israel in such a short time and in the way we wanted by ourselves. It was even more important since we knew it is going to be a big wedding, which will include invitees from all around the world.

When we heard about you from friends for whom you've organized a desert wedding in Israel, we decided to give a chance to the idea of hiring a producer / wedding planner for our wedding, and started to interview line of producers in Israel.

There was a great chemistry with you right from the first phone call, and since then until the wedding day we learnt carefully how to deal with one another, and how to communicate most effectively and productively. 

You were patient to our needs, desires and decisions, and guided us always with best intentions for our interests. You also went with the flow of our wedding vision and involvement in every detail and every negotiation (as we insisted to be very much involved, and in many occasions might have also been a pain…), and mostly performed much responsibility and assertiveness at the last few days before the wedding when it was most significant.

Finally, according to our inspiring concept of Woody Allen’s film “Midnight in Paris”, according to our personalities and expectancies, and according to the set of vendors we chose to work with, you directed a delightful event – our unforgettable celebration of love!

The wedding, which lasted long hours and included a magical-vibe outdoors reception, a long festive dinner, under-the-starts dancing party that included all ages, cultures and tastes (and there was a big variety of those), late-night snacks, and finally a free style dipping in the beach at Caesarea, was orchestrated wonderfully!

This was an absolutely incredible experience with a feel of “far away”, “once in a life time wedding” and a “vacation” sort of a celebration for everybody, and we keep on receiving calls, emails and face-to-face positive feedbacks from our guests telling us it was simply “something else” :) !

Ari and I got married last September at the Antipatris Fortress, a majestic crusader castle in central Israel. The space was breathtaking, but the person who created the magical fairy land was Danny Marx, our fabulous event planner and producer. 

I have only the best things to say about Danny and his work. Danny is a friendly understanding person who is absolutely competent and professional. He is extremely classy, responsible and creative; everthing is top quality with Danny. He has great connections with most of Israel's top suppliers and providers, and drives a tough bargain with them (he definitely makes the most out of your budget). He specializes in event production in dramatic non-conventional locations in Israel (Masada, Beit Guvrin caves, Antipatris Fortress, Tower of David..), but also plans events in conventional event gardens as well. He has planned more intimate events for smaller groups and has planned business events for thousands of guests. He has also worked with large institutions like Hebrew University and Ben Gurion University, planning events such as those for the Board of Trustees. He has a great reputation in Israel for high-quality, top of the line event planning. 

Basically, we were so happy with him and recommend him enthusiastically! I think that he can truly appeal to a clients from abroad that interested in weddings, bar-mitzvahs and family events, and would also be a good fit for  american Jewish organizations who wish to plan large events in Israel.

When we initially approached Danny, we needed something he had never done before: A Christian wedding in Jerusalem.

He got famniliar with all the details involved with this type of wedding extremely quickly, has given us a lot of time and personal attention, was available by email and phone on a daily basis and made us feel like we were the only couple whose wedding he was organizing.

Later we learned that on the week of our marriage, Danny had another weddings to do.
